Jan-Peter Wittendorp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ab van der Aa having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Eind Excelsior's Daniël Arnolds got a free kick in the 8th minute. Ab van der Aa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Youri Waesbergen in the 9th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Eind Excelsior's goal looked a bit too open when Youri Waesbergen came free, but Ab van der Aa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15thth minute of the game Youri Waesbergen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Eind Excelsior's Ab van der Aa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jan-Peter Wittendorp might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ab van der Aa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jan-Peter Wittendorp ran back to his position shaking his head. Ab van der Aa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Youri Waesbergen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jelte Elshot hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Youri Waesbergen struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Ab van der Aa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ellecom FC. Jan-Peter Wittendorp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Ab van der Aa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute Youri Waesbergen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ab van der Aa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Youri Waesbergen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ab van der Aa having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Jan-Peter Wittendorp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ellecom FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan-Peter Wittendorp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ab van der Aa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Youri Waesbergen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Eind Excelsior's goalkeeper Ab van der Aa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eind Excelsior's Ab van der Aa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Youri Waesbergen in the 39th minute of play. Youri Waesbergen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ab van der Aa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Eind Excelsior's zone, Barry Schenkhuizen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ab van der Aa came out of the goal and Barry Schenkhuizen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Youri Waesbergen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Youri Waesbergen made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Jelte Elshot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donald Lensen hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Youri Waesbergen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Youri Waesbergen in the 62nd minute of play forced Eind Excelsior's goalkeeper Ab van der Aa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerwin Oortwijn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ab van der Aa having to interfere. Youri Waesbergen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Ellecom FC booed when Eind Excelsior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerrit Mensing didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ab van der Aa was out of position in the 71 minute of play, and Youri Waesbergen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Youri Waesbergen really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Youri Waesbergen took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Ab van der Aa to make any attempt to save it. The crowd rose to their feet as Youri Waesbergen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ab van der Aa. That made the score 0-3 in the 81 minute of play. Youri Waesbergen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ab van der Aa having to interfere. 0-4 became the score in the 86th minute when Youri Waesbergen elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 89 minutes in the game, Youri Waesbergen fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ab van der Aa having to interfere. Jan-Peter Wittendorp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ab van der Aa having to interfere. Ab van der Aa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Youri Waesbergen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 93 minute of play.
