Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Maurice Wikenburg started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kees Eising in the 3rd minute of play forced Dongenvaart's goalkeeper Harold Degens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 4 played minutes Dongenvaart got a freekick which was hit by Arne van den Eede. After 6 minutes of play, New Gooxtonian Boys's Kees Eising made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Harold Degens was left in no man's land by his defense there! 9 minutes into the game, Ronald Kinear was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dongenvaart's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave New Gooxtonian Boys the free kick. Ronald Kinear hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in New Gooxtonian Boys's zone, Rick Driel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Coenraad Wilmink came out of the goal and Rick Driel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Maurice Wikenburg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hans Fokkelman hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. New Gooxtonian Boys's Coenraad Wilmink played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rick Driel in the 21st minute of play. Sipke van Zeist charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sipke van Zeist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 22nd minute of the game. One of New Gooxtonian Boys:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Dongenvaart:s goal. In the 29th minute, Thijs Stevens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, New Gooxtonian Boys's Sipke van Zeist got a free kick in the 34th minute. After a defensive mix-up in New Gooxtonian Boys's zone, Johan Grasmaaijer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Coenraad Wilmink came out of the goal and Johan Grasmaaijer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Coenraad Wilmink made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rick Driel in the 40th minute of play. With a little luck, Dongenvaart's Harold Degens got control of the ball when Kees Eising tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Dongenvaart's Johan Grasmaaijer got a free kick in the 47th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rick Driel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Maurice Wikenburg made a precise shot to the right of Harold Degens. Dongenvaart's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Harold Degens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sipke van Zeist, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Coenraad Wilmink made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Rick Driel sent off a good shot on target. In the 74th minute, Arne van den Eede hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Harold Degens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kees Eising, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to New Gooxtonian Boys getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Kees Eising hit a great ball. Coenraad Wilmink made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Rick Driel sent off a good shot on target. Rick Driel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Coenraad Wilmink having to make a save.
