Spectators: 7759 (Terracing: 5800, Seating: 1800, VIP seats: 159) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gerrie Heije started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berend Waterman in the 7th minute of play forced Vleut RKSV's goalkeeper Coenraad Genkenaar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th match minute, Vleut RKSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ab Ter to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th match minute, Real Ugchelen United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evert van Asten to maneuver through the defense. Vleut RKSV's Rien Hekman got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pierre Hanekamp might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jean-Paul Kruijs. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pierre Hanekamp ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 17th minute, Gerrie Heije ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jean-Paul Kruijs was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Gerrie Heije put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jean-Paul Kruijs. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Gerrie Heije put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jean-Paul Kruijs. If Melvin Ebbinge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Coenraad Genkenaar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Berend Waterman's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. A collision led to Vleut RKSV getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Gerard Jacobs hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Vleut RKSV's zone, Melvin Ebbinge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Coenraad Genkenaar came out of the goal and Melvin Ebbinge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute, Melvin Ebbinge made a precise shot to the right of Coenraad Genkenaar. Vleut RKSV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Berend Waterman was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes Vleut RKSV got a freekick which was hit by Gerrie Heije. A collision led to Real Ugchelen United FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Melvin Ebbinge hit a great ball. Vleut RKSV's Gerrie Heije got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ab Ter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean-Paul Kruijs having to interfere. When Lex Wilhelm fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Ugchelen United FC's protests and gave Lex Wilhelm a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Real Ugchelen United FC booed when Vleut RKSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ab Ter didn't get a good kick on the ball. 67 minutes into the game, Pieter Reints threw the ball into play from the sideline. Vleut RKSV's Ab Ter quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 68 minutes into the game, Gerrie Heije cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Jean-Paul Kruijs was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ferry Degeling during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Real Ugchelen United FC's Ferry Degeling got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 73rd minute Gerrie Heije shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-Paul Kruijs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led Vleut RKSV's Gerrie Heije to fire away a dangerous shot which Jean-Paul Kruijs despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Pieter Reints made in the 80th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Vleut RKSV's Gerard Jacobs. Vleut RKSV's Gerrie Heije got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lex Wilhelm was shown his second yellow card after 86 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 87th minute, Gerrie Heije ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jean-Paul Kruijs was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Oscar Kuijsten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean-Paul Kruijs having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Gerrie Heije got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Melvin Ebbinge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Coenraad Genkenaar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vleut RKSV's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
