The Tornado Kicks fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Billy Niewens should have stopped the shot. The supporters of New Gooxtonian Boys booed when Tornado Kicks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betão Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

With an all-out effort, New Gooxtonian Boys's Billy Niewens threw himself towards the right post 86 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Maurice Wikenburg, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Erwin Iepmann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Coenraad Wilmink read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. During the 95th minute of the match Betão Nogueira completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Betão Nogueira a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Tornado Kicks getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Betão Nogueira hit a great ball. When the final whistle sounded New Gooxtonian Boys left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Tornado Kicks.
