When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Hannes Kjellkvist put it in 0-6 from a short distance just to the right of Coenraad Genkenaar. Jelte Sturkenboom could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Coenraad Genkenaar made a huge save. A sloppy throw-in by Laurens Heeringa in the 86th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Vleut RKSV's Gerard Jacobs. In the 88th minute, Gerrie Heije got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hannes Kjellkvist got free with Coenraad Genkenaar in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Spoorbuurt's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
