Domenik Popping received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Foeke Assendelft tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 6 minutes into the match, Zwanegat's Hette Molnar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Foeke Assendelft narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mark Heitinga struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Mart Bok didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zwagerveen. Karsten van Zeggeren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. In the 19th minute Mathieu Schophuis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mart Bok saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mart Bok took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathieu Schophuis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the game, Gert Wiggers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zwanegat's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zwagerveen the free kick. In the 22nd minute, Gert Wiggers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th match minute, Zwanegat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gert Wiggers to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Mathieu Schophuis made a precise shot to the right of Mart Bok. Zwanegat's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The Zwagerveen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Foeke Assendelft should have stopped the shot. Mathieu Schophuis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Mart Bok made a huge save. In the 47th match minute, Zwanegat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karsten van Zeggeren to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hette Molnar made a kick off. Mathieu Schophuis kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. If Domenik Popping had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Hette Molnar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivo Pronk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Foeke Assendelft having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Zwagerveen's zone, Hette Molnar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Foeke Assendelft came out of the goal and Hette Molnar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Zwanegat booed when Zwagerveen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans Veen didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathieu Schophuis in the 59th minute of play forced Zwanegat's goalkeeper Mart Bok to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 64 played minutes Zwanegat got a freekick which was hit by Ivo Pronk. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sjoerd van Rhijn during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sjoerd van Rhijn hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Zwanegat's Mart Bok played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mark Heitinga in the 79th minute of play. After some careless play in the Zwanegat defense, Mathieu Schophuis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mart Bok. The Zwanegat fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mart Bok should have stopped the shot. Foeke Assendelft showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hette Molnar, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Gert Jan Merenga's late challenge caught a Zwanegat's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gert Jan Merenga helped the player get up and apologised. Zwanegat made a substitution. Sebastiaan Sloothaak replaced Ivo Pronk. After a rather tough play, Zwagerveen's Gert Jan Merenga got a free kick in the 90th minute. Mart Bok showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathieu Schophuis, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Mart Bok took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mark Heitinga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Zwagerveen fully deserved thier win.
