Spectators: 8001 (Terracing: 6041, Seating: 1800, VIP seats: 160) Jacco Popken came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Zwagerveen's Mathieu Schophuis. But to his dismay, Mathieu Schophuis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Marc Olfers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Jacco Popken tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacco Popken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathieu Schophuis in the 10th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marc Olfers got free with Jacco Popken in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wings on Ice's Jacco Popken played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gert Jan Merenga in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Zwagerveen's Mark Heitinga dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. In the 19th minute, Mathieu Schophuis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zwagerveen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. 22 minutes into the match, Mathieu Schophuis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacco Popken. Wings on Ice's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mathieu Schophuis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Mathieu Schophuis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacco Popken read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Jacco Popken showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathieu Schophuis in the 27th minute of the match. Jacco Popken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mark Heitinga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute, Ed Batenburg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wings on Ice's goalkeeper Jacco Popken, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, Wings on Ice's goal looked a bit too open when Mark Heitinga came free, but Jacco Popken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacco Popken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathieu Schophuis in the 44th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mathieu Schophuis to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Wings on Ice got a freekick which was hit by Hans Hoogstrate. Jacco Popken showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathieu Schophuis, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Jelle van Gaal kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Heitinga in the 72nd minute of play forced Wings on Ice's goalkeeper Jacco Popken to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 82 minutes of play, Zwagerveen's Mark Heitinga made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacco Popken was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mathieu Schophuis took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacco Popken. Jacco Popken dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. Jacco Popken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mark Heitinga in the 91st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Wings on Ice's Hans Hoogstrate got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mathieu Schophuis in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacco Popken prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jacco Popken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathieu Schophuis in the 95th minute of play. There was no doubt that Zwagerveen were the better team. Zwagerveen's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
