Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Arjen van der Valk took the kick off in the first half of the match. A collision led to Straat getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Tonny de Swart hit a great ball. Gio Theissen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brain Bijlsma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Laak Eendracht's Jeffrey Walstra got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute, Brain Bijlsma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Straat's Huib Prins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arjen van der Valk in the 11th minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, Mickael Velez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Gio Theissen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gio Theissen was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Benjamin Blommaart capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Benjamin Blommaart really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. When Emre Çalkın came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Laak Eendracht fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emre Çalkın couldn't finish the play. After 28 minutes of play, Laak Eendracht's Arjen van der Valk made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Huib Prins was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 34th minute, Govert Westerink made a precise shot to the right of Huib Prins. Straat's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. A collision led to Straat getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Antoon Weerd hit a great ball. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Straat's goalkeeper Huib Prins, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emre Çalkın in the 42nd minute of play forced Straat's goalkeeper Huib Prins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Laak Eendracht's goal looked a bit too open when Brain Bijlsma came free, but Gio Theissen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gio Theissen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brain Bijlsma, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. In the 48th minute Emre Çalkın shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Huib Prins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Laak Eendracht were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Antoon Weerd made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Antoon Weerd made a precise shot to the right of Gio Theissen. Laak Eendracht's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. Straat's Huib Prins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emre Çalkın in the 58th minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Brain Bijlsma cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3. Gio Theissen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Huib Prins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emre Çalkın in the 65th minute of play. Laak Eendracht's Gio Theissen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antoon Weerd in the 68th minute of play. If Antoon Weerd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Straat's Huib Prins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taco Koeling in the 72nd minute of play. Gio Theissen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antoon Weerd, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Govert Westerink in the 79th minute of play forced Straat's goalkeeper Huib Prins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Straat's Huib Prins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Straat from getting a goal against them. With his leg Huib Prins managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when Laak Eendracht's Emre Çalkın fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Laak Eendracht booed when Straat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brain Bijlsma didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emre Çalkın in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Huib Prins prevented the ball from getting in the gole. For all the effort they put into the match, the Laak Eendracht players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Straat.
