The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pieter-Jan Klaus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maikel van Rhijn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robin Waldijk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pieter-Jan Klaus having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Michaels All Stars's Maikel van Rhijn ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pieter-Jan Klaus. Pieter-Jan Klaus yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Alfred Som fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregor Baalen having to interfere. In the 16th match minute, Michaels All Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maikel van Rhijn to maneuver through the defense. Jurgen Saelman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregor Baalen having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred Som in the 32nd minute of play forced Michaels All Stars's goalkeeper Gregor Baalen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michaels All Stars's Gregor Baalen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfred Som in the 38th minute of play. Gregor Baalen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfred Som's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Maikel van Rhijn kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After 46 played minutes Knabbel en Babbel got a freekick which was hit by Jacques van der Werff.

The wind increased when Henry van Veldhuizen made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Michaels All Stars booed when Knabbel en Babbel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacques van der Werff didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Maikel van Rhijn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henry van Veldhuizen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 71 minutes into the game, Maikel van Rhijn cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Pieter-Jan Klaus was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jurgen Saelman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jurgen Saelman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gregor Baalen came out and tried to block the shot, but Jurgen Saelman slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 79th minute. Alfred Som's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 84thth minute, Gregor Baalen skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Alfred Som had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gregor Baalen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfred Som in the 95th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Michaels All Stars defense, Jurgen Saelman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gregor Baalen. The Michaels All Stars fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gregor Baalen should have stopped the shot. When the final whistle sounded Knabbel en Babbel left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Michaels All Stars.
