In the 10th minute Ronald Hofman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Arends saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, TheDukes's Marick Hansma got a free kick in the 13th minute. After 15 minutes of play, SAFA United's Ronald Hofman made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dennis Arends was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronald Hofman in the 28th minute of play forced TheDukes's goalkeeper Dennis Arends to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dennis Arends showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronald Hofman, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute, Ronald Hofman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SAFA United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Rudi Hebert made in the 38th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Henk-Jan Bartele however managed to control. Dimitrie Oortwijn hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Jurgen Schattenberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jan Israel came out and tried to block the shot, but Jurgen Schattenberg slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 40th minute. Isaac Vergaray hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The TheDukes players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SAFA United were winning 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jurgen Schattenberg to make the kick off. 63 minutes into the game, SAFA United's Guus Schophuis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dennis Arends made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Gerard Wessel took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jan Israel. Jan Israel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. In the 70th play minute Ronald Hofman came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dennis Arends. 2-5. Jurgen Schattenberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jan Israel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jurgen Schattenberg ran back to his position shaking his head. SAFA United's Jan Israel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaac Vergaray in the 80th minute of play. When TheDukes's Gerard Wessel in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SAFA United's goalie prevented a goal. SAFA United made a substitution. Otto van Dijk replaced Dennis Holten. TheDukes's Dennis Arends played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Vonk in the 86th minute of play. Jan Israel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jurgen Schattenberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The TheDukes fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SAFA United were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
