When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Arno Degenkamp sped through BelaVista FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Evert Holsmuller. Evert Holsmuller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Anselius in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Boezem in the 31st minute of play forced Hoogedorp de beste's goalkeeper Wasyl Golembiewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. BelaVista FC were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Hoogedorp de beste's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Heiko Penders took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Heiko Penders got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Wasyl Golembiewski quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
