After 43 played minutes TheDukes got a freekick which was hit by Isaac Vergaray. In the 48th minute of the match Charles Anselius shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dennis Arends showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After the first half Hoogedorp de beste were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jurgen Schattenberg was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, TheDukes's goalkeeper Dennis Arends had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arno Degenkamp. Hoogedorp de beste's Wasyl Golembiewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerard Wessel in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute, Rudi Hebert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th play minute Arno Degenkamp came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dennis Arends. 0-5. 76 minutes into the game, Donny Hermensen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Dennis Arends was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Hoogedorp de beste's zone, Gerard Wessel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wasyl Golembiewski came out of the goal and Gerard Wessel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dennis Arends made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donny Hermensen in the 91st minute of play. After a rather tough play, TheDukes's Marcus Platvoet got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Dennis Arends made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donny Hermensen in the 95th minute. After a rather tough play, TheDukes's Tonnie van Loo got a free kick in the 96th minute. The TheDukes fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hoogedorp de beste were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
