Knabbel en Babbel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BelaVista FC the free kick. BelaVista FC's Wessel Lurling was substituted for Jelle Lambers. The supporters of BelaVista FC booed when Knabbel en Babbel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bas Veenema didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred Som in the 18th minute of play forced BelaVista FC's goalkeeper Evert Holsmuller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 18 played minutes BelaVista FC got a freekick which was hit by Wessel Lurling. Mark Boezem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pieter-Jan Klaus having to interfere. Edgard Höhenstein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pieter-Jan Klaus having to interfere. In the 36th match minute, Knabbel en Babbel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Reintjes to maneuver through the defense. Heiko Penders might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pieter-Jan Klaus. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Heiko Penders ran back to his position shaking his head.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfred Som was the one to do the kick off. Auke Sandbergen hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Knabbel en Babbel's Paul Zeldenrust got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Knabbel en Babbel getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Jan Reintjes hit a great ball. Auke Sandbergen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pieter-Jan Klaus. Knabbel en Babbel's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfred Som got free with Evert Holsmuller in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Mark Boezem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacques van der Werff hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Knabbel en Babbel's Pieter-Jan Klaus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mark Boezem in the 94th minute of play. BelaVista FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
