Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronald Hofman to make the kick off. Jan Israel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emre Çalkın, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Gio Theissen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronald Hofman in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Arjen van der Valk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gio Theissen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronald Hofman in the 61st minute of the match. In the 66th minute Emre Çalkın shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Israel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jan Israel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arjen van der Valk in the 97th minute of play forced SAFA United's goalkeeper Jan Israel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SAFA United's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Laak Eendracht had won, even though SAFA United had held more of the ball.
