The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Dejavu FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Thomas Rodenberg hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Maarten Wortelboer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kubotai F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Maarten Wortelboer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gio de Backer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 11 minutes into the game, Maarten Wortelboer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gio de Backer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 13 minutes into the game, Vincent Haremeijer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dejavu FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kubotai F.C. the free kick. In the 13th match minute, Dejavu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vincent Haremeijer to maneuver through the defense. If Maarten Wortelboer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gio de Backer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maarten Wortelboer in the 17th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Vincent Haremeijer reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fabrizio Oroni. The goal made the score 1-1. Kubotai F.C.'s Ignacio Shepherd quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Steven Haydon, made in the 23rd minute of the game. Maarten Wortelboer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Maarten Wortelboer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kubotai F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Maarten Wortelboer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 32nd minute Maarten Wortelboer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gio de Backer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gio de Backer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maarten Wortelboer in the 37th minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Vincent Haremeijer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 43 played minutes Dejavu FC got a freekick which was hit by Steven Haydon. Gio de Backer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maarten Wortelboer in the 45th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maarten Wortelboer was the one to do the kick off. A long shot from Jurjen Ekelhoff in the 52nd minute of play was well struck, but Gio de Backer made a really good save at the right post. Maarten Wortelboer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Gio de Backer when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Kubotai F.C. booed when Dejavu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sjef Asselbergs didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jurjen Ekelhoff recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Dejavu FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Douwe Ricksen hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Dejavu FC defense, Maarten Wortelboer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gio de Backer. The Dejavu FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gio de Backer should have stopped the shot. When Atabek Temren came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Kubotai F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Atabek Temren couldn't finish the play. Maarten Wortelboer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dejavu FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Maarten Wortelboer scored to the left of an out of position Gio de Backer, making the score, 1-3. After 80 minutes, Geert Arend Wehkamp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dejavu FC and the Kubotai F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 80th match minute, Dejavu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geert Arend Wehkamp to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute, Cobus Planting hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maarten Wortelboer's late challenge caught a Dejavu FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maarten Wortelboer helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Kubotai F.C.'s Maarten Wortelboer got a free kick in the 84th minute. The throw-in from Steven Haydon in the 90th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Kubotai F.C.'s Ignacio Shepherd. In the 91st minute, Douwe Ricksen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Dejavu FC's zone, Edgar Barendregt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gio de Backer came out of the goal and Edgar Barendregt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kubotai F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
