An unexpectedly hard shot by Kees Hulscher in the 17th minute of play forced Lammerenburg HC's goalkeeper Otto Ierlandt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martien Ponk hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute of the match Pascal Oosterman shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Otto Ierlandt showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Martien Ponk kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. When Hub Bartels fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lammerenburg HC's protests and gave Hub Bartels a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th minute, Hub Bartels hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Lammerenburg HC booed when Randenburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geert Stout didn't get a good kick on the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Lammerenburg HC's goal looked a bit too open when Hendrik Heulmann came free, but Otto Ierlandt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harm Gasteren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Otto Ierlandt made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Hub Bartels made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Randenburg's Kees Hulscher got a free kick in the 54th minute. When Laurens Abbenbroek fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lammerenburg HC's protests and gave Laurens Abbenbroek a yellow card for diving instead. After 60 played minutes Lammerenburg HC got a freekick which was hit by Laurens Abbenbroek. A collision led to Randenburg getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Pascal Oosterman hit a great ball. After having played for 66 minutes, Harm Gasteren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Randenburg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harm Gasteren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Lammerenburg HC's goal looked a bit too open when Harm Gasteren came free, but Otto Ierlandt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Hendrik Heulmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Randenburg's supporters rose to their feet, but Hendrik Heulmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Otto Ierlandt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Robert-Jan Colen kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Randenburg's Pascal Oosterman tried to score from far away in the 83rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Harm Gasteren's late challenge caught a Lammerenburg HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Harm Gasteren helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Lammerenburg HC booed when Randenburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harm Gasteren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jos Dalman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Boudewijn Klooster having to make a save. 90 minutes into the match, Randenburg's goalkeeper Boudewijn Klooster had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jos Dalman. If Harm Gasteren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boudewijn Klooster was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hub Bartels showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 94 minute of play. Randenburg's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
