An unexpectedly hard shot by Herman Wansink in the 32nd minute of play forced Gentle Ds's goalkeeper Floris Valentijn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herman Wansink received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Floris Valentijn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Dries Zevenhuizen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Herman Wansink got free with Floris Valentijn in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michel Schirring during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Gentle Ds booed when Olympia 04 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michel Schirring didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 43 played minutes Gentle Ds got a freekick which was hit by Mark Schmidt. Olympia 04's Herman Wansink shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 44th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Floris Valentijn but with some difficulty. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Herman Wansink to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Olympia 04 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jordy Bosma to maneuver through the defense. Floris Valentijn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Christijan de Coninck went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Michel Schirring sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herman Weken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Herman Wansink's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Floris Valentijn was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. In the 84th minute Herman Wansink shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Floris Valentijn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 85 minutes of play, Olympia 04's Michel Schirring made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Floris Valentijn was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mathieu Stuijt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 92 minutes of play, Olympia 04's Herman Wansink made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Floris Valentijn was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee gave Olympia 04 a penalty, 99 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Herman Wansink, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gentle Ds's Floris Valentijn. 7-0. Olympia 04 walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
