In the 4th minute, Mark Overmars hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 6 minutes into the match, Folker Zoetebier notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Gios tou Telamon's Efrain Fernanco. Efrain Fernanco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bem Bem could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Rafael Rijkaard made a huge save. In the 13th minute, Bem Bem left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gios tou Telamon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Emiel van Kampen kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Rafael Rijkaard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cees Boer in the 21st minute of the match. Rafael Rijkaard was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Erben Saarberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 22 minute of play. After 30 played minutes Cees Boer rounded FC Bakbeest's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Overmars in the 33rd minute of play forced FC Bakbeest's goalkeeper Rafael Rijkaard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, Folker Zoetebier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 39 played minutes FC Bakbeest got a freekick which was hit by Jelte Nieuwburg. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erben Saarberg got free with Rafael Rijkaard in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-1 at half-time.

56 minutes into the game, Bem Bem cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-1. Rafael Rijkaard was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 60 minutes, Martin Antuña mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gios tou Telamon and the FC Bakbeest players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Bakbeest booed when Gios tou Telamon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Antuña didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Folker Zoetebier in the 61st minute really tested Efrain Fernanco's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Rafael Rijkaard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erben Saarberg in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of FC Bakbeest booed when Gios tou Telamon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Antuña didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martin Antuña was shown his second yellow card after 68 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 69 played minutes Gios tou Telamon got a freekick which was hit by Martin Antuña. Efrain Fernanco made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Folker Zoetebier sent off a good shot on target. In the 75th minute, Sebastiaan Tieman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rafael Rijkaard didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cees Boer went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to FC Bakbeest getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Folker Zoetebier hit a great ball. After 82 minutes of play, Gios tou Telamon's Cees Boer made it 9-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rafael Rijkaard was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 86th match minute, Gios tou Telamon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Theuws to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, FC Bakbeest's Folker Zoetebier tried to score from far away in the 86th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Rafael Rijkaard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erben Saarberg in the 89th minute of play. Rafael Rijkaard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cees Boer, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. 94 minutes into the game, Erben Saarberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 10-1. Rafael Rijkaard was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 97 played minutes FC Bakbeest got a freekick which was hit by Folker Zoetebier.
