The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Carlo Weggemans hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. 9 minutes into the match, Heerjansdam's goal looked a bit too open when Serge Das came free, but Kristof Overdiep reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kristof Overdiep took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mickael van Zeggeren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Heerjansdam's Kristof Overdiep played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mickael van Zeggeren in the 11th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victor Gronden got free with Kristof Overdiep in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Serge Das had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Mickael van Zeggeren sped through Heerjansdam's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kristof Overdiep. Victor Gronden's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Kristof Overdiep firmly grabbed it by the left post. Abraham Robbermond kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Nick Need made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brain Theisens in the 32nd minute of play. Heerjansdam's Kristof Overdiep proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Heerjansdam from getting a goal against them. When Mickael van Zeggeren came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Oranjú FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mickael van Zeggeren couldn't finish the play. Kristof Overdiep showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mickael van Zeggeren, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 40th minute Carlo Weggemans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nick Need saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oranjú FC's Mickael van Zeggeren got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, Gert van Zomeren notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Heerjansdam's Kristof Overdiep. Kristof Overdiep was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlo Weggemans to make the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Victor Gronden managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oranjú FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Gronden was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kristof Overdiep took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Gronden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victor Gronden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristof Overdiep having to interfere. When Oranjú FC's Mickael van Zeggeren in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Heerjansdam's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Heerjansdam's Philip Ostermann got a free kick in the 64th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mickael van Zeggeren in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kristof Overdiep saved Heerjansdam from getting behind. In the 68th minute, Mickael van Zeggeren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 74 minutes into the match, Daniël van Zijp had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kristof Overdiep. Heerjansdam's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniël van Zijp was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 78thth minute of the game Mickael van Zeggeren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Heerjansdam's Kristof Overdiep was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kristof Overdiep made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Gronden in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th minute Mickael van Zeggeren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristof Overdiep saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Gronden in the 81st minute of play forced Heerjansdam's goalkeeper Kristof Overdiep to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Heerjansdam defense, Mickael van Zeggeren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kristof Overdiep. The Heerjansdam fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kristof Overdiep should have stopped the shot. 86 minutes into the match, Mickael van Zeggeren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kristof Overdiep. Heerjansdam's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mickael van Zeggeren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. When Oranjú FC's Mickael van Zeggeren in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The tension between the Oranjú FC and the Heerjansdam players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 94 played minutes Oranjú FC got a freekick which was hit by Giovanni Wander. After a defensive mix-up in Oranjú FC's zone, Ricky Heijer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nick Need came out of the goal and Ricky Heijer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
