Folker Zoetebier started the match with the kick off. After 7 minutes of play, FC Bakbeest's Jelte Nieuwburg made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sjaak Vrede was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 10th minute, Donny Hoogsteen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 11 minutes, Mathijs Timmermans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vleuten's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mathijs Timmermans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Vleuten's goal looked a bit too open when Emiel van Kampen came free, but Sjaak Vrede reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Vleuten's goal looked a bit too open when Folker Zoetebier came free, but Sjaak Vrede reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mitchell Iemberge kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Emiel van Kampen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the game, Jelte Nieuwburg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Sjaak Vrede was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mitchell Iemberge during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Vleuten getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Mitchell Iemberge hit a great ball. Jelte Nieuwburg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sjaak Vrede having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Vleuten's Ger Fokkens got a free kick in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Folker Zoetebier scored 4-1 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sjaak Vrede, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Richard Dalman kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. A collision led to FC Bakbeest getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Gerben Senden hit a great ball. Donald Scheffer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 66thth minute of the game Folker Zoetebier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vleuten's Sjaak Vrede was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Folker Zoetebier in the 67th minute of play forced Vleuten's goalkeeper Sjaak Vrede to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Donald Scheffer took a quick shot and it went in 4-2 without a chance for Rafael Rijkaard to make any attempt to save it. After 78 played minutes FC Bakbeest got a freekick which was hit by Donny Hoogsteen. Mathijs Timmermans was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 79th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Emiel van Kampen kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Vleuten's goal looked a bit too open when Folker Zoetebier came free, but Sjaak Vrede reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jelte Nieuwburg scored 5-2 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sjaak Vrede, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Donald Scheffer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Rafael Rijkaard made a huge save.
