Rein Verbeek started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Fruta Tropical booed when Limmerkoog was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harold Kauffeld didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fruta Tropical's Rein Verbeek got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 12 minutes of play, Limmerkoog's René Stroobos made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Harris Schattenberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 14th match minute, Limmerkoog was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gooitzen Gentenaar to maneuver through the defense. Fruta Tropical's Dirk Veenhuis got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Harris Schattenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sjef Schild, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 23rd minute, Fruta Tropical's Rein Verbeek ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Foeke Assendelft. Foeke Assendelft yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Rein Verbeek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Foeke Assendelft having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 32nd minute by Dirk Veenhuis got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A hard shot 42 in the game by Dirk Veenhuis from a close distance when the talented Foeke Assendelft managed to make a qualified save. Limmerkoog's players were relieved. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Rein Verbeek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Foeke Assendelft having to interfere. Dirk Veenhuis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Foeke Assendelft having to interfere. Rein Verbeek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Fruta Tropical's goalkeeper Harris Schattenberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sjef Schild. After 71 played minutes Limmerkoog got a freekick which was hit by Gooitzen Gentenaar. 73 minutes into the game, Rein Verbeek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Foeke Assendelft was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Foeke Assendelft made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dirk Veenhuis in the 85th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frank Hoven during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Fruta Tropical booed when Limmerkoog was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Hoven didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard and well directed shot from Niels Saarloos led 87 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Limmerkoog's Foeke Assendelft became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 3-1. Rein Verbeek succeeded in the game's 91st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rein Verbeek in the 96th minute of play forced Limmerkoog's goalkeeper Foeke Assendelft to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Fruta Tropical were the better team. Fruta Tropical's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
