When Roelof Meijs fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fruta Tropical's protests and gave Roelof Meijs a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Fruta Tropical's Roelof Meijs got a free kick in the 2nd minute. 7 minutes into the game, Rein Verbeek recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kristof Overdiep. Rein Verbeek showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 10 minutes into the match, Heerjansdam's Brain Theisens sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Harris Schattenberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Carlo Weggemans made a precise shot to the right of Harris Schattenberg. Fruta Tropical's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Fruta Tropical's goalkeeper Harris Schattenberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Harris Schattenberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brain Theisens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Fruta Tropical getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Roelof Meijs hit a great ball. Harris Schattenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlo Weggemans in the 25th minute of play. Philip Ostermann's late challenge caught a Fruta Tropical's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Philip Ostermann helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th match minute, Heerjansdam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Philip Ostermann to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, Rein Verbeek dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kristof Overdiep, 3-1. Kristof Overdiep showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rein Verbeek in the 30th minute of the match. Dirk Veenhuis might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kristof Overdiep. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dirk Veenhuis ran back to his position shaking his head. Dirk Veenhuis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute Rein Verbeek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristof Overdiep saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlo Weggemans blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Harris Schattenberg having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dirk Veenhuis got free with Kristof Overdiep in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kristof Overdiep was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dirk Veenhuis showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-1 in the 43 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Rein Verbeek made the kick off in the second half. Rein Verbeek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Philip Ostermann kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Roelof Meijs was shown his second yellow card after 71 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. When Carlo Weggemans came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Heerjansdam fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlo Weggemans couldn't finish the play. Fruta Tropical's Dirk Veenhuis managed to work through Heerjansdam's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Dirk Veenhuis dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After 82 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Heerjansdam! In the 84th minute there was a penalty for Fruta Tropical. Niels Saarloos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kristof Overdiep. 5-1. In the 89th minute, Dirk Veenhuis made a precise shot to the right of Kristof Overdiep. Heerjansdam's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dirk Veenhuis in the 93rd minute of play forced Heerjansdam's goalkeeper Kristof Overdiep to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Fruta Tropical were the better team. Fruta Tropical's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
