Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Mathijs Timmermans kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Dirk Veenhuis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sjaak Vrede was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 5 minutes into the game, Roelof Meijs was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fruta Tropical's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vleuten the free kick. After 5 played minutes Fruta Tropical got a freekick which was hit by Roelof Meijs. 7 minutes into the game, Mathijs Timmermans recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Harris Schattenberg. Mathijs Timmermans showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Sjaak Vrede showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dirk Veenhuis, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Dirk Veenhuis scored 1-2 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sjaak Vrede, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 20th match minute, Fruta Tropical was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Riemer Oldenborger to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute, Reinier Melker made a precise shot to the right of Harris Schattenberg. Fruta Tropical's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Rein Verbeek put it in 2-4 from a short distance just to the right of Sjaak Vrede. If Jaap Bot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 45 minutes of play, Fruta Tropical's Paul Idelberger made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sjaak Vrede was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-5.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rein Verbeek to strike the kick off in the second half. Dirk Veenhuis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Sjaak Vrede made a huge save. Mathijs Timmermans might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Harris Schattenberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mathijs Timmermans ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 55th minute Reinier Melker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harris Schattenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Donald Scheffer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Reinier Melker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sjaak Vrede took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rein Verbeek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fruta Tropical's Harris Schattenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reinier Melker in the 72nd minute of play. In the 75th minute, Fruta Tropical's Dirk Veenhuis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dirk Veenhuis got free with Sjaak Vrede in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sjaak Vrede made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Paul Idelberger sent off a good shot on target. Donald Scheffer scored 3-6 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Harris Schattenberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Reinier Melker came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Vleuten fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reinier Melker couldn't finish the play. In the 88th match minute, Fruta Tropical was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Riemer Oldenborger to maneuver through the defense. Vleuten's Jaap Bot got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Niels Saarloos during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 96th minute there was a penalty for Vleuten. Mathijs Timmermans stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Harris Schattenberg. 4-6. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Fruta Tropical walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
