The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christijan Koning during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 7th match minute, Limmerkoog was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christijan Koning to maneuver through the defense. Ricky Heijer was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 8th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. A collision led to Limmerkoog getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Gooitzen Gentenaar hit a great ball. Heerjansdam's Kristof Overdiep played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sjef Schild in the 18th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling René Stroobos in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kristof Overdiep prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 23 minutes into the match, René Stroobos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kristof Overdiep. Heerjansdam's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that René Stroobos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by René Stroobos in the 31st minute of play forced Heerjansdam's goalkeeper Kristof Overdiep to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sjef Schild received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Kristof Overdiep tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When René Stroobos, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 38 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Kristof Overdiep was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell René Stroobos to make the kick off. Brain Theisens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Foeke Assendelft having to interfere. Wouter Bouwens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Foeke Assendelft having to interfere. 60 minutes into the game, Bertus van Nistelrooij was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Limmerkoog's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Heerjansdam the free kick. Sjef Schild recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Sjef Schild had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricky Heijer hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Kristof Overdiep was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and René Stroobos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. René Stroobos really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. René Stroobos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sjef Schild received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Kristof Overdiep tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 92 minutes, Sjef Schild managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Limmerkoog's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sjef Schild was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Limmerkoog left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Heerjansdam.
