Cees Boer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Gormaz having to interfere. In the 40th minute of the game, Erben Saarberg landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 40 minutes, Tjeerd Sleiffer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the IJssel Boys FC and the Gios tou Telamon players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gios tou Telamon's Geert Scheer was substituted for Erben Saarberg. In the 43rd match minute, Gios tou Telamon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geert Scheer to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to IJssel Boys FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Gooitzen Bergmeester hit a great ball. Mirko Boer charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mirko Boer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Gios tou Telamon's Mirko Boer got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 61st minute Gios tou Telamon were awarded a corner. Mark Overmars went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Gios tou Telamon's Mark Overmars to fire away a dangerous shot which Victoriano Gormaz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Victoriano Gormaz was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Bem Bem capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bem Bem really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. After a rather tough play, Gios tou Telamon's Bem Bem got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Victoriano Gormaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cees Boer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bem Bem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Gormaz having to interfere.
