In the 10th minute of the match Coos Collins sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thijs Iepmann skillfully saved the ball. In the 13th minute Mickael van Zeggeren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thijs Iepmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute, Serge Das hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gert Wagenaar got free with Nick Need in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bertus van Nistelrooij kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Limmerkoog defense, Victor Gronden kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thijs Iepmann. The Limmerkoog fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thijs Iepmann should have stopped the shot. Thijs Iepmann stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mickael van Zeggeren's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Thijs Iepmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven Vorenkamp in the 36th minute of the match. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Limmerkoog's goalie and right to Daniël van Zijp. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Limmerkoog's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The supporters of Oranjú FC booed when Limmerkoog was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertus van Nistelrooij didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mickael van Zeggeren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thijs Iepmann having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victor Gronden in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thijs Iepmann saved Limmerkoog from getting behind. If Mickael van Zeggeren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pepijn Daalmeyer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Nick Need tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Victor Gronden stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Victor Grondens short, quick shot in the 51stth minute got Thijs Iepmann to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Mickael van Zeggeren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Thijs Iepmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 53rdth minute of the game Mickael van Zeggeren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Limmerkoog's Thijs Iepmann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 58 minutes of play, Limmerkoog's Bertus van Nistelrooij made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nick Need was left in no man's land by his defense there! 67 minutes into the game, Oranjú FC's Giovanni Wander nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thijs Iepmann made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 74 minutes into the match, Limmerkoog's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Gronden came free, but Thijs Iepmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mickael van Zeggeren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thijs Iepmann was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Victor Gronden showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 79 minute of play. Thijs Iepmann had great luck who in the 82ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Mickael van Zeggeren from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Daniël van Zijp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 87th minute, Oranjú FC's Victor Gronden ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Thijs Iepmann. Thijs Iepmann yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. Limmerkoog's Thijs Iepmann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Limmerkoog from getting a goal against them. Frank Hoven hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Mickael van Zeggeren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Thijs Iepmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
