FC Bakbeest's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFC Treubwegje the free kick. In the 5th minute, Richard Gerfen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hette Kaspers kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, AFC Treubwegje's Diderik Smibum got a free kick in the 8th minute. After 12 minutes, Franck Akkerman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Bakbeest and the AFC Treubwegje players grew even worse after the yellow card. Folker Zoetebier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Martien Stühling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sven Nagel charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sven Nagel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC Bakbeest booed when AFC Treubwegje was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven Nagel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rafael Rijkaard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diderik Smibum in the 17th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Bakbeest's zone, Diderik Smibum stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Rijkaard came out of the goal and Diderik Smibum tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Bakbeest's Rafael Rijkaard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diderik Smibum in the 29th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, FC Bakbeest's goalkeeper Rafael Rijkaard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hette Kaspers. 34 minutes into the match, Folker Zoetebier had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martien Stühling. AFC Treubwegje's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Folker Zoetebier was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Folker Zoetebier made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Folker Zoetebier in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martien Stühling prevented the ball from getting in the gole. AFC Treubwegje's Martien Stühling proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save AFC Treubwegje from getting a goal against them. FC Bakbeest were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after AFC Treubwegje's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Folker Zoetebier took the corner. The corner led FC Bakbeest's Folker Zoetebier to fire away a dangerous shot which Martien Stühling despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jelte Nieuwburg scored 0-3 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Martien Stühling, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jelte Nieuwburg took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Martien Stühling. Martien Stühling dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Marco Drok charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marco Drok the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rafael Rijkaard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hette Kaspers in the 73rd minute of the match. Richard Gerfen hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match.
