After a defensive mix-up in FC Derks's zone, Hette Kun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henry Aalders came out of the goal and Hette Kun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Hette Kun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hette Kun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute, Klaas Sybering got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 16 minutes, Jelte Seedorf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Fruithof's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jelte Seedorf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Jelte Seedorf managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Fruithof's supporters rose to their feet, but Jelte Seedorf was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henry Aalders breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nico-Jan Mülder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. FC Derks's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jelte Seedorf was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 38 played minutes FC Derks got a freekick which was hit by Esmin De Beuf. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Carel in the 40th minute of play forced FC Derks's goalkeeper Henry Aalders to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hette Kun blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Henry Aalders having to make a save. Hette Kun struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Henry Aalders didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Fruithof. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Klaas Sybering to strike the kick off in the second half. After 56 played minutes FC Derks got a freekick which was hit by Kristof Geitz. After having played for 60 minutes, Jorn Buskermolen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Fruithof's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorn Buskermolen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Henry Aalders didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jelte Seedorf went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 67 minutes into the game, FC Fruithof's Jorn Buskermolen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Henry Aalders made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. When Jorn Buskermolen came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the FC Fruithof fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorn Buskermolen couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jelte Seedorf got free with Henry Aalders in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 73rd minute, Alex Medgyesi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 74th minute, Jelte Seedorf fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Alex Medgyesi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jelte Seedorf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jorn Buskermolen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Henry Aalders tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Twan Brandsma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Aalders having to interfere. Henry Aalders stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jorn Buskermolen's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. With a little luck, FC Derks's Henry Aalders got control of the ball when Jorn Buskermolen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Filip Carel might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Henry Aalders. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Filip Carel ran back to his position shaking his head. Jorn Buskermolen struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute.
