Gregor Lurling's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henry Aalders read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. The supporters of Nadzieja Speed Elblag booed when FC Derks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esmin De Beuf didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Derks's Klaas Sybering got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, FC Derks's goal looked a bit too open when Gregor Lurling came free, but Henry Aalders reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henry Aalders stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jan Dijken's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. When Nadzieja Speed Elblag's Gregor Lurling in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Henry Aalders made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Nadzieja Speed Elblag's Jan Dijken got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Boguslaw Maurycy acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 46th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Willem Roelofs. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Klaas Sybering to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Nadzieja Speed Elblag got a freekick which was hit by Japke Fellinger. Esmin De Beuf kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. The supporters of Nadzieja Speed Elblag booed when FC Derks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esmin De Beuf didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jan Dijken could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Henry Aalders made a huge save. The supporters of FC Derks booed when Nadzieja Speed Elblag was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Japke Fellinger didn't get a good kick on the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Jan Dijken had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Henry Aalders. FC Derks's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jan Dijken was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Henry Aalders was a little too slow when Gregor Lurling got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 0-4. Gregor Lurling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Aalders having to interfere. If Jan Dijken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Jan Dijken managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nadzieja Speed Elblag's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan Dijken was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henry Aalders breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Henry Aalders showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregor Lurling in the 92nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregor Lurling in the 94th minute of play forced FC Derks's goalkeeper Henry Aalders to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Henry Aalders managed to avoid a goal in the 96thth minute, when Nadzieja Speed Elblag's Jan Dijken fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The Nadzieja Speed Elblag supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Nadzieja Speed Elblag would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
