Spectators: 8139 (Terracing: 6105, Seating: 1872, VIP seats: 162) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Gooitzen Witting made the kick off which started today's match. Marcel Sandbergen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maikel Redan in the 3rd minute of play. After 4 minutes of play, SV Spakenburg's Frank Pragt made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcel Sandbergen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stephan Hilkes hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. SV Spakenburg's Maikel Redan got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcel Sandbergen was a little too slow when Maikel Redan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 2-0. After 14 played minutes SV Spakenburg got a freekick which was hit by Dick Stuifzand. If Simon Hartogh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Sjoerd Helwig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frank Pragt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Marcel Sandbergen made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maikel Redan in the 40th minute of play forced Weena's goalkeeper Marcel Sandbergen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Weena's Marcel Sandbergen got control of the ball when Sjoerd Helwig tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 46th minute, SV Spakenburg's Maikel Redan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Sjoerd Helwig made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Gooitzen Witting shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando Knauer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Weena's zone, Frank Pragt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel Sandbergen came out of the goal and Frank Pragt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, SV Spakenburg's Dick Stuifzand got a free kick in the 74th minute. Marcel Sandbergen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sjoerd Helwig in the 78th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gooitzen Witting during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 79th match minute, Weena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gooitzen Witting to maneuver through the defense. Maikel Redan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Marcel Sandbergen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
