After some careless play in the Heidehuizen RKSV defense, Sjoerd Helwig kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dirk Ostermann. The Heidehuizen RKSV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dirk Ostermann should have stopped the shot. After 22 minutes, Sjoerd Helwig made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Heidehuizen RKSV's Dirk Ostermann tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 25 minutes of play, SV Spakenburg's Sjoerd Helwig made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dirk Ostermann was left in no man's land by his defense there! 31 minutes into the game, Sjoerd Helwig lined in a short shot 5-0 behind a frustrated Dirk Ostermann. 35 minutes into the match, Sjoerd Helwig had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dirk Ostermann. Heidehuizen RKSV's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sjoerd Helwig was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Sjoerd Helwig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frank Pragt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dirk Ostermann had great luck who in the 43rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Maikel Redan from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Dirk Ostermann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sjoerd Helwig, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sjoerd Helwig to strike the kick off in the second half. Dirk Ostermann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sjoerd Helwig in the 93rd minute of play. When Arnold van der Velden fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Heidehuizen RKSV's protests and gave Arnold van der Velden a yellow card for diving instead.
