Spectators: 7469 (Terracing: 5575, Seating: 1844, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Elbert Eisenga started the match with the kick off. Filip Meurs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gio Sloothaak in the 3rd minute of play. In the 22nd minute Gio Sloothaak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filip Meurs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filip Meurs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gio Sloothaak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gerben Eylens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfried Ponk in the 27th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Ab Spiering left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Weena fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Gooitzen Witting recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jan Hilkes kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. A collision led to Gooische club getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Robbie Ottenhof hit a great ball. When Ab Spiering came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Weena fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ab Spiering couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Ab Spiering made the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the match, Gooische club's goal looked a bit too open when Tjeerd van den Bergh came free, but Filip Meurs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute, Gooische club's Leone Aberle seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Leone Aberle the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Gooische club protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Leone Aberle had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Leone Aberle kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ab Spiering in the 72nd minute of play forced Gooische club's goalkeeper Filip Meurs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 74 played minutes Gooische club got a freekick which was hit by Jacob Zwartkruis. The supporters of Weena booed when Gooische club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacob Zwartkruis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Ab Spiering kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Filip Meurs. That made the score 0-2 in the 83 minute of play. With an all-out effort, Weena's Filip Meurs threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ab Spiering, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gooitzen Witting sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute, Gooitzen Witting reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Filip Meurs. The goal made the score 0-3. Weena's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
