Spectators: 8129 (Terracing: 6098, Seating: 1870, VIP seats: 161) FC Cityside's Gio Eefting started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Jurgen Heuvel came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the AFC Bal op het Dark fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jurgen Heuvel couldn't finish the play. AFC Bal op het Dark's Auke Boeringe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gio Eefting in the 12th minute of play. Auke Boeringe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gio Eefting in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute Gio Eefting shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Auke Boeringe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Auke Boeringe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gio Eefting in the 15th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Roeland Heida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute Alex van Dalfsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Auke Boeringe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hans Baptist during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th match minute, FC Cityside was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hans Baptist to maneuver through the defense. Chris Houtman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Olof Rekers. FC Cityside's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Jurgen Heuvel took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Olof Rekers to make any attempt to save it. In the 34thth minute of the game Jurgen Heuvel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Cityside's Olof Rekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Roeland Heida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jurgen Heuvel in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olof Rekers saved FC Cityside from getting behind. Olof Rekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jurgen Heuvel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

AFC Bal op het Dark's Auke Boeringe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save AFC Bal op het Dark from getting a goal against them. If Jurgen Heuvel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olof Rekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricky Heijer in the 58th minute of the match. After having played for 61 minutes, Jurgen Heuvel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC Bal op het Dark's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jurgen Heuvel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Jurgen Heuvel put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Olof Rekers. In the 67th match minute, AFC Bal op het Dark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricky Heijer to maneuver through the defense. Olof Rekers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jurgen Heuvel went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of FC Cityside booed when AFC Bal op het Dark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Zondervan didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, AFC Bal op het Dark's Auke Boeringe got control of the ball when Riemer Waesbergen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Riemer Waesbergen came free with the goalkeeper in the 80th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Auke Boeringe could save by the left post. Olof Rekers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ricky Heijer's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. 88 minutes into the match, FC Cityside's goal looked a bit too open when Roeland Heida came free, but Olof Rekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to FC Cityside getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Alex van Dalfsen hit a great ball. In the 91st minute Jurgen Heuvel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olof Rekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Cityside's Michael Baatenburg took a good shot, in the 98th minute, which hit the crossbar above Auke Boeringe's head, and flew over the goal. AFC Bal op het Dark's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by FC Cityside. There was no doubt that AFC Bal op het Dark were the better team. AFC Bal op het Dark's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
