ASC Amsterdam's William Raynard got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Ivor Sadler notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of D.S United's Paul Bouwman. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hub Oorthuis made a kick off. The supporters of ASC Amsterdam booed when D.S United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karsten Hegeman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Ivor Sadler managed to get in a good position for a shot. That made the score 0-8 after 59 minutes of play. 63 minutes into the match, D.S United's goal looked a bit too open when William Raynard came free, but Paul Bouwman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paul Bouwman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Raynard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that William Raynard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paul Bouwman was relentless in the 71st minute of the game.
