Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ate Deiman started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Bernard Reitsema didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andy Maes went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Bernard Reitsema showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from William Raynard in the 6th minute of the match. William Raynard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Bernard Reitsema tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco Cranenburgh charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marco Cranenburgh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 10 played minutes Punten got a freekick which was hit by Marco Cranenburgh. In the 11th minute, William Raynard made a precise shot to the right of Bernard Reitsema. Punten's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 15th minute, René van Dijk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Albert Beerthuis hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute, William Raynard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ASC Amsterdam fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 35th minute, Jan Rein van Loo made a precise shot to the right of Bernard Reitsema. Punten's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. After having played for 43 minutes, William Raynard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ASC Amsterdam's supporters crossed their fingers, but William Raynard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ivor Sadler to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, William Raynard recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bernard Reitsema. William Raynard showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. Ivor Sadler scored 1-6 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernard Reitsema, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 61st minute William Raynard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernard Reitsema saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ASC Amsterdam's William Raynard got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 68th match minute, ASC Amsterdam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivor Sadler to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute, Ivor Sadler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernard Reitsema was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-7. 79 minutes into the match, Jan Rein van Loo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bernard Reitsema, 1-8. In the 82nd minute, Ivor Sadler made a precise shot to the right of Bernard Reitsema. Punten's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-9. Punten's defense didn't have a chance, in the 92nd minute, when William Raynard scored to the left of an out of position Bernard Reitsema, making the score, 1-10. After some careless play in the Punten defense, Jan Rein van Loo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernard Reitsema. The Punten fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernard Reitsema should have stopped the shot. When the match was over ASC Amsterdam could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Punten throughout the match.
