When Brain van der Velden fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fluitende Ventieltjes FC's protests and gave Brain van der Velden a yellow card for diving instead. 9 minutes into the match, Cemil Talayhan notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Fluitende Ventieltjes FC's Evert Smibum. Evert Smibum was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fluitende Ventieltjes FC's Evert Smibum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cemil Talayhan in the 15th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Uithuizen's goalkeeper Tim Nijsse had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Humberto Andriessen. Tim Nijsse made an important save on a dangerous shot by Humberto Andriessen in the 20th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Uithuizen's goalkeeper Tim Nijsse had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gert van Damme. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Douwe Bleiswijk couldn't finish the play. Milan Horsák was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 28 minutes into the match. Milan Horsák hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. It was beautiful to see Fluitende Ventieltjes FC's Brain van der Velden in action when he in the 31st minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 34th minute, Cemil Talayhan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Cemil Talayhan sped through Fluitende Ventieltjes FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Evert Smibum. 43 minutes into the game, Humberto Andriessen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Tim Nijsse was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tim Nijsse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Famelen in the 48th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patrick Famelen to make the kick off. Tim Nijsse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Andriessen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Franck Zuid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the match, Uithuizen's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Famelen came free, but Tim Nijsse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evert Smibum made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Cemil Talayhan sent off a good shot on target. Cemil Talayhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evert Smibum having to interfere. In the 70th minute Franck Zuid shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Nijsse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, Patrick Famelen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Tim Nijsse was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With his leg Evert Smibum managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when Uithuizen's Cemil Talayhan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Patrick Famelen took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tim Nijsse. Tim Nijsse dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. Evert Smibum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cemil Talayhan, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 91 minutes into the game, Patrick Famelen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fluitende Ventieltjes FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uithuizen the free kick. The supporters of Uithuizen booed when Fluitende Ventieltjes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Famelen didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the Fluitende Ventieltjes FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
