Spectators: 7947 (Terracing: 5961, Seating: 1828, VIP seats: 158) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Cemil Talayhan made the kick off which started today's match. Royal Maas Yacht Club were furious when Marco Hillen was red carded, 8 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 7th minute of the game. One of Royal Maas Yacht Club:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Uithuizen:s goal. Emiel Heuvel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cemil Talayhan went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 14th minute, Cemil Talayhan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emiel Heuvel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Tim Nijsse made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Anthony van der Weerden sent off a good shot on target. Anthony van der Weerden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Tim Nijsse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Ralph Holsmuller left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Royal Maas Yacht Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Anthony van der Weerden kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tim Nijsse. That made the score 2-2 in the 26 minute of play. Douwe Hofs hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Tim Nijsse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralph Holsmuller in the 35th minute of play. Joost Reutter was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 36 minutes into the match. Emiel Heuvel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cemil Talayhan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Uithuizen's Tim Nijsse proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Uithuizen from getting a goal against them.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fred Zevenhuizen to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Uithuizen's Cemil Talayhan got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 59th minute Fred Zevenhuizen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Nijsse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 65 played minutes Uithuizen got a freekick which was hit by Basílio Pires. In the 69th minute Ted Lundström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiel Heuvel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cemil Talayhan struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Emiel Heuvel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uithuizen. In the 76th minute, Ted Lundström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ted Lundström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ted Lundström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Emiel Heuvel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cemil Talayhan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Cemil Talayhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cemil Talayhan got free with Emiel Heuvel in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Uithuizen supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Uithuizen would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
