Aad Lurling made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 16th match minute, Zandspui was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Çoban Rondo to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute Stephan Hammen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nathan Veldman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stephan Hammen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nathan Veldman having to interfere. After having played for 34 minutes, Vincent de Visser managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Reimersbeek U23's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vincent de Visser was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aad Lurling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francesco Cramer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th play minute Stephan Hammen came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Nathan Veldman. 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francesco Cramer in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aad Lurling saved Reimersbeek U23 from getting behind. Christijan Roelofsen hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stephan Hammen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vincent de Visser in the 51st minute of play forced Zandspui's goalkeeper Nathan Veldman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Zandspui defense, Stephan Hammen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nathan Veldman. In the 63rd minute, Zandspui's Dimosthenis Giannoulakis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. In the 66th minute, Dimosthenis Giannoulakis reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aad Lurling. The goal made the score 2-5. In the 71st match minute, Zandspui was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leon Spiering to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute of the match Stephan Hammen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nathan Veldman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Çoban Rondo charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Çoban Rondo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 90th minute of the match, Gijsbert Ter tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Aad Lurling saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
