Philip Oortwijn hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Lucien Kiewit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anthony van der Weerden in the 28th minute of play. The supporters of KING booed when Royal Maas Yacht Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven Boezem didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wim Kuys scored 1-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emiel Heuvel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 39th minute, Wim Kuys fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Emiel Heuvel, passed just outside the right post. Emiel Heuvel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ryan Kuypers showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 46 minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Folkert Beishuizen made a kick off. A collision led to Royal Maas Yacht Club getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Bart van Amersfoort hit a great ball. Emiel Heuvel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Folkert Beishuizen's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Fred Zevenhuizen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Lucien Kiewit made a huge save. KING's Lucien Kiewit proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save KING from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, KING's Ryan Kuypers got a free kick in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Folkert Beishuizen in the 72nd minute of play forced Royal Maas Yacht Club's goalkeeper Emiel Heuvel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Royal Maas Yacht Club's goal looked a bit too open when Folkert Beishuizen came free, but Emiel Heuvel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Folkert Beishuizen took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emiel Heuvel. Emiel Heuvel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Emiel Heuvel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ryan Kuypers in the 85th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Royal Maas Yacht Club's goal looked a bit too open when Ryan Kuypers came free, but Emiel Heuvel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anthony van der Weerden could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Lucien Kiewit made a huge save. Lucien Kiewit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Zevenhuizen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ryan Kuypers scored 4-2 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emiel Heuvel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The KING fans cheered their team off the field, for while Royal Maas Yacht Club had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
