Spectators: 8016 (Terracing: 6014, Seating: 1843, VIP seats: 159) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Albert Smit started the match with the kick off. After having played for 3 minutes, Emil de Swart managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Druisdijk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emil de Swart was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Pride of the North defense, Emil de Swart kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hans Siebum. The Pride of the North fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hans Siebum should have stopped the shot. Albert Smit scored 1-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bart Nyemanting, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Emil de Swart in the 14thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hans Siebum, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 17 minutes of play, Druisdijk's Emil de Swart made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hans Siebum was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pride of the North's Hans Siebum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antoon de Zee in the 20th minute of play. Hans Siebum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antoon de Zee, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 2-2 became the score in the 24th minute when Henk-Jan Stroobos elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. A collision led to Druisdijk getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Joop Onrust hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henk-Jan Stroobos in the 32nd minute of play forced Druisdijk's goalkeeper Bart Nyemanting to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Druisdijk's Teo Rijaard got a free kick in the 37th minute. Antoon de Zee was extremely unlucky when he, in the 44th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antoon de Zee made a kick off. Douwe Barendregt charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Douwe Barendregt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 51 played minutes Druisdijk got a freekick which was hit by Douwe Barendregt. 54 minutes into the match, Druisdijk's goalkeeper Bart Nyemanting had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henk-Jan Stroobos. When Douwe Barendregt was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 55 minutes had been played. In the 55th minute, Douwe Barendregt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rien Saarberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Bart Nyemanting made a huge save. Bart Nyemanting made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rien Saarberg in the 58th minute. If Albert Smit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute, Emil de Swart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 80 minutes into the match, Rien Saarberg dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bart Nyemanting, 2-4. Druisdijk's Bart Nyemanting proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Druisdijk from getting a goal against them. Antoon de Zee succeeded in the game's 90th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-4. In the 93rd minute of the match, Albert Smit tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bart Nyemanting saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 93rd match minute, Druisdijk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harry van Heiningen to maneuver through the defense. Pride of the North's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
