Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Albert Smit got the match started through his kick off. Folker Gerrits received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Hans Siebum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, Colmschate's goal looked a bit too open when Albert Smit came free, but Lennart Zomer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rick Trip sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 14 minutes, Albert Smit managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pride of the North's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albert Smit was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Pride of the North's Albert Smit in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Colmschate's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Smit in the 19th minute of play forced Colmschate's goalkeeper Lennart Zomer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rick Trip recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lennart Zomer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rien Saarberg in the 25th minute of play. After 27 played minutes Pride of the North got a freekick which was hit by Corné Been. An unexpectedly hard shot by Folker Gerrits in the 29th minute of play forced Pride of the North's goalkeeper Hans Siebum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henk-Jan Stroobos hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute, Coenraad Appel sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Pride of the North's Hans Siebum didn't even have to move. 40 minutes into the match, Pride of the North's Albert Smit sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lennart Zomer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lennart Zomer made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Albert Smit sent off a good shot on target. In the 44th minute of the match, Albert Smit tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lennart Zomer saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rick Trip made a kick off. Lennart Zomer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Smit in the 60th minute of the match. Albert Smit struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Lennart Zomer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pride of the North. The audience was convinced that Rien Saarberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lennart Zomer was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. A collision led to Pride of the North getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Teo Zuiverloon hit a great ball. Wilco Bosstraeten hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Lennart Zomer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rien Saarberg in the 80th minute of the match. Pride of the North were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Colmschate for a fine match.
