Bart Nyemanting dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After 13 minutes, Gert van Damme mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fluitende Ventieltjes FC and the Druisdijk players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fluitende Ventieltjes FC's Gert van Damme got his second yellow card of the match in the 17th minute. The referee ordered Gert van Damme off the ground. A collision led to Fluitende Ventieltjes FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Gert van Damme hit a great ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Andriessen couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute of the match Teo Rijaard shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Evert Smibum showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Antoon de Zee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 43 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Fluitende Ventieltjes FC! The referee gave Druisdijk a penalty, 46 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Teo Rijaard, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Fluitende Ventieltjes FC's Evert Smibum. 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Druisdijk's Bart Nyemanting played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ton Wermans in the 85th minute of play. In the 89th match minute, Druisdijk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harry van Heiningen to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Druisdijk booed when Fluitende Ventieltjes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edwin Zalm didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Fluitende Ventieltjes FC had won after a very even match.
