Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Albert Smit made the kick off which started today's match. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Folkert Beishuizen managed to get in a good position for a shot. KING's supporters rose to their feet, but Folkert Beishuizen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hans Siebum breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 7th minute, Folkert Beishuizen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 12 minutes into the game, Albert Smit recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lucien Kiewit. Albert Smit showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Ryan Kuypers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Siebum having to interfere. Hans Siebum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Folkert Beishuizen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ryan Kuypers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lucien Kiewit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albert Smit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute, Henk-Jan Stroobos made a precise shot to the right of Lucien Kiewit. KING's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Lucien Kiewit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teo Zuiverloon in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Ryan Kuypers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hans Siebum was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Ryan Kuypers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pride of the North's goalkeeper Hans Siebum, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Folkert Beishuizen made a precise shot to the right of Hans Siebum. Pride of the North's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teo Zuiverloon in the 44th minute of play forced KING's goalkeeper Lucien Kiewit to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucien Kiewit made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henk-Jan Stroobos in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

The wind increased when Folkert Beishuizen made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Pride of the North's Hans Siebum got control of the ball when Folkert Beishuizen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lucien Kiewit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Smit in the 57th minute of play. 60 minutes into the game, Henk-Jan Stroobos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Lucien Kiewit was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Henk-Jan Stroobos kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Wim Kuys hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Albert Smit scored 5-2 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lucien Kiewit, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henk-Jan Stroobos during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 73 played minutes Pride of the North got a freekick which was hit by Henk-Jan Stroobos. Andre Middel charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andre Middel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Andre Middel kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, KING's goal looked a bit too open when Rien Saarberg came free, but Lucien Kiewit reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucien Kiewit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teo Zuiverloon in the 79th minute of play. If Ryan Kuypers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 85 played minutes KING got a freekick which was hit by Wim Kuys. When Rien Saarberg came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Pride of the North fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rien Saarberg couldn't finish the play. If Ryan Kuypers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pride of the North's Hans Siebum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryan Kuypers in the 95th minute of play. KING's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
