In the 25th match minute, Hey FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leendert Euving to maneuver through the defense. Hidayet Usum took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daan Smid. Daan Smid dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 32nd minute, Dries Breugel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Schoonouwen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joost Boshuis got free with Arjan van Rijswijk in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Schoonouwen's Arjan van Rijswijk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Schoonouwen from getting a goal against them. Arjan van Rijswijk made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Benjamin Overmars sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Hey FC's zone, Fabiën Kosterman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daan Smid came out of the goal and Fabiën Kosterman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joost Boshuis's late challenge caught a Schoonouwen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joost Boshuis helped the player get up and apologised. Joost Boshuis kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Schoonouwen's Eelco Hulzebos got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Fabiën Kosterman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dries Breugel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Daan Smid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Benjamin Overmars hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daan Smid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henk Walregt in the 83rd minute of play. In the 84th minute, Schoonouwen's Dries Breugel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Daan Smid. The player immediately received a yellow card. 95 minutes into the game, one of Hey FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the final whistle sounded Schoonouwen left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Hey FC.
