In the 26th minute Jean-Paul Dirks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Pacorro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Aalburg booed when Bouwerschap was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfred Schuurmans didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evaristo Pacorro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurits Mueller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the game, one of Bouwerschap:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Stanyo Bosakov made the kick off in the second half. Evaristo Pacorro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Paul Dirks in the 54th minute of play. With a little luck, Bouwerschap's Evaristo Pacorro got control of the ball when Ferdi Bouma tried to sneak it across the goal line. Evaristo Pacorro made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Ferdi Bouma sent off a good shot on target. After 67 played minutes Aalburg got a freekick which was hit by Wilfred Zwarthoet. Egos Cheishvili sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Egos Cheishvili had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jouke Redan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bouwerschap's Evaristo Pacorro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurits Mueller in the 77th minute of play. Evaristo Pacorro was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Maurits Mueller capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Maurits Mueller really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Aalburg's Cor Wiarda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egos Cheishvili in the 81st minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Aalburg's goal looked a bit too open when Stanyo Bosakov came free, but Cor Wiarda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 84 minutes, Alfred Schuurmans mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bouwerschap and the Aalburg players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 85th match minute, Bouwerschap was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfred Schuurmans to maneuver through the defense. Bouwerschap's Evaristo Pacorro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Bouwerschap from getting a goal against them. When the match was over Aalburg could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bouwerschap throughout the match.
