An unexpectedly hard shot by Martijn Klaasens in the 3rd minute of play forced Hey FC's goalkeeper Daan Smid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Hey FC defense, Peter van Gaal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daan Smid. The Hey FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daan Smid should have stopped the shot. Daan Smid came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Budapest United's Peter van Gaal. But to his dismay, Peter van Gaal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Hey FC's zone, Peter van Gaal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daan Smid came out of the goal and Peter van Gaal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daan Smid showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evripidis Stabouloglou, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. A collision led to Budapest United getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Olaf Korevaar hit a great ball. Leendert Euving hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 28thth minute of the game Peter van Gaal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hey FC's Daan Smid was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arnold Kok made a kick off. Evripidis Stabouloglou struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Daan Smid was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Peter van Gaal capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Peter van Gaal really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Budapest United's Geale Ijkwezen was substituted for Peter van Gaal. Budapest United made a substitution. Ralph Abbenbroek replaced Wilco Ieberink. In the 83rdth minute of the game Martijn Klaasens who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hey FC's Daan Smid was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A hard shot by Leopoldo Brito from long distance, 88 minutes into the match, got Daan Smid's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Hey FC's Daan Smid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martijn Klaasens in the 91st minute of play.
