Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jean-Paul Dirks got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Schoonouwen's goal looked a bit too open when Jean-Paul Dirks came free, but Arjan van Rijswijk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Godfried Bartele kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Fabiën Kosterman in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cor Wiarda, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 11th match minute, Aalburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean-Paul Dirks to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Aalburg's zone, Fabiën Kosterman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cor Wiarda came out of the goal and Fabiën Kosterman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cor Wiarda made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Fabiën Kosterman sent off a good shot on target. Jean-Paul Dirks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute, Ferdi Bouma ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arjan van Rijswijk was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. A collision led to Schoonouwen getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Eelco Hulzebos hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean-Paul Dirks in the 31st minute of play forced Schoonouwen's goalkeeper Arjan van Rijswijk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cor Wiarda came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Schoonouwen's Dries Breugel. But to his dismay, Dries Breugel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Arjan van Rijswijk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jean-Paul Dirks went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdi Bouma in the 46th minute of play forced Schoonouwen's goalkeeper Arjan van Rijswijk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Schoonouwen players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Aalburg were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dries Breugel made a kick off. Wilfred Zwarthoet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Arjan van Rijswijk made a huge save. In the 53rd match minute, Aalburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karel Ponk to maneuver through the defense. Wilfred Zwarthoet's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 63rdth minute, Arjan van Rijswijk skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 65 minutes into the match, Schoonouwen's goalkeeper Arjan van Rijswijk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ferdi Bouma. Arjan van Rijswijk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean-Paul Dirks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jean-Paul Dirks in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arjan van Rijswijk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 71st minute Ferdi Bouma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arjan van Rijswijk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute, Wilfred Zwarthoet made a precise shot to the right of Arjan van Rijswijk. Schoonouwen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Hidayet Usum succeeded in the game's 77th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-3. After 85 minutes of play, Aalburg's Maurits Mueller made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arjan van Rijswijk was left in no man's land by his defense there!
