Christiaan Vrieling sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gert Ponk made a kick off. FC Skittles's Ferry Veenker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lukas Wessel in the 69th minute of play. After some careless play in the FC Skittles defense, Arno Fokkens kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ferry Veenker. The FC Skittles fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ferry Veenker should have stopped the shot. Gert Ponk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferry Veenker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lukas Wessel in the 90th minute of play. 97 minutes into the match, Brouwershoek FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gio Kuys came free, but Peter Schirring reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
