The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cees Platvoet during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Overhaelen booed when Bossenburgh RKSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cees Platvoet didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 36th minute by Hendrik Scheffer got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Hendrik Scheffer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Overhaelen's supporters rose to their feet, but Hendrik Scheffer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Klaas Jan Haken breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olaf Hoogenkamp kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. 45 minutes into the game, Cees Platvoet cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Diderik Eefting was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
