The referee ignored Vinzendi FC Retired!'s protests and gave Marinus van Zwam a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Vinzendi FC Retired!'s Marinus van Zwam got a free kick in the 16th minute. Hendrik Scheffer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Martien Eisenga made a huge save. Dirk Jan Jonker charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dirk Jan Jonker the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Vinzendi FC Retired! booed when Overhaelen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dirk Jan Jonker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marinus van Zwam hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After 27 played minutes Vinzendi FC Retired! got a freekick which was hit by Marinus van Zwam. With a little luck, Vinzendi FC Retired!'s Martien Eisenga got control of the ball when Hendrik Scheffer tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 34th minute, Rafael Baars got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Overhaelen's Diderik Eefting played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anton Aerssen in the 38th minute of play. Martien Eisenga made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Hendrik Scheffer sent off a good shot on target. Frans Schuurmans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diderik Eefting showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anton Aerssen, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Diderik Eefting made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Baars in the 51st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Falco Hesp in the 54th minute of play forced Vinzendi FC Retired!'s goalkeeper Martien Eisenga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marinus van Zwam kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Anton Aerssen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vinzendi FC Retired!'s Martien Eisenga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hendrik Scheffer in the 60th minute of play.
